Hooray for sea breezes!!! Another scorchio day, and not much in the way of wind forecast. Checked the Lee weather station around 2pm and to my surprise there was a bit of a breeze kicking in, more than yesterday, but I didn't want to risk it - thought there would be a high tide lull like yesterday and it wouldn't stay for the rest of the afternoon. But whilst watching the cricket at home couldn't help but notice that the trees outside were getting a bit excited. Thought sod it, the kit is still in the car, I'll give it a go. The last minute-ness of it meant it would have to be a on-me-lonesome session - didn't try asking Bob, Jo wasn't around, and Gwyn was busy, but we made plans for tomorrow.

Arrived Salterns 4.45pm. Was it windy...? Oh yeah it was!!! Solid 5.2 weather....and warm and sunny. Couldn't believe it - how good?!?!? But there was no time for savouring the moment. Must have set a new personal best for rigging up time; just had to get out there as soon as poss. And the session rating? Very good, but not on a par with last Sunday. I wasn't sailing quite as well, which I'll blame on:

- high tide so very messy Solent chop, and nothing to jump off
- kitesurfers getting in the way even more than normal
- was a fraction underpowered at times
- got a bit chilly in my shorty towards the end....

Still, overall great conditions, and a solid 4 star session. Although I did drop more gybes than I would have liked, still made a few good ones, and had one much better body drag attempt. Basically was just loving blasting around in joyous disbelief at where this wind had come from. Windy Summer 2004 comes up with the goods yet again. More of the same tomorrow maybe....???
